I am running HPSim and have not been able to logon using wbem on any novell server other than 'anonymously'. I thereofore do not have the permissions to edit server thresholds and parameters.
As I understand it, windows uses local server authentication or accounts pushed out via 'Global Protocol settings' within wbem. These wbem accounts can also be viewed in a locally stored file called hkcmmd.acl or something similar. I have been unable to get wbem to authenticate me using various username formats for novell. i.e just userame: ricej or full naming path: ricej.btadmin.rail.first and also with the first . as in .ricej.btadmin.rail.first I have also been unable to get wbem to authenticate me via 'Global protocol settings' either by pushing out the default settings or manually editing the local .acl file. I have tried the default accounts: administrator administrator operator operator user user and also tried creating my own all to no avail. Is there something that I am completely misunderstanding here. Could you possibly point me in the right direction. |
