Hi, can anyone help with this one?

I proceed to install tru64 5.1B on Alpha DS20 ;from the srm console i boot from cd and the installation start normally until the X server loading start the server hangs and there nothing on screen .
I check the hardware component and they are ok .
could someone give me help.

Hi,
You don't say if the screen starts to display or not. Does it just go blank when the Xserver starts?

The screen just goes blank after the initial boot text.

use monitor more than 15" and it will go to the graphics, because less tha 15" it is out of range,

As amr states it is likely to be the monitor spec. I have experienced the same problem when using an unsupported monitor. As soon as X Window starts the screen blanks.
