Hi Rob
I need to do a little more research on your problem to see if there are any fixes. My initial thoughts are that some or all of the hash files on the client are screwed up. To fix this I would move the hash files to a temporary location and start with a full enhanced incr backup to create a new client DB. The most important thing is to find out how you got into this situation in the first place. Are you using NTP on each member of the Cell. If the time/date is wrong this could lead to problems like this. I will have another think and read and get back to you if I come up with anything. "Free will is an illusion. Hello Rob
I have not found any reports of bugs. The messages do indicate that Data Protector has sorted out the problem. But the question remains as to how the "Multiple recoverable errors" were caused, and why the database is out of date. My first step to resolve this problem would be to get all members of the cell to use a time server. If you cannot connect to an external time server, I would configure one of the cell members as a server. It does not really matter whether its the correct time. But it is important to synchronise each cell member to the same time. It would also be advisable to check the global options file for these two parameters and make sure they are set as follows: UpgradeIncrToFull=1 IncrOnProtected=1 These are defaults but its worth a quick check. Have a look at the backup specifications and make sure the restore chain has sensible protection time. I would also check the integrity of your backups. It would be worthwhile doing a consolidation of you increments into a synthetic full and restoring the backup into a new directory. If I find out anymore or think of something else I will post it/email you. Regards D'Bert "Free will is an illusion. People always choose the perceived path of greatest pleasure" |
