Could anyone tell me whether the configuration of multiple RAID arrays, using SAS drives for 1 array and SATA for another is possible on the DL320S. I do not wish to mix SAS with SATA in the same RAID array, but would like to use different disk types for different workloads.
For Example 2 x SAS drives RAID 1/1+0 for the Operating System, and 5 x SATA drives RAID 5/6 for B2D. This server would be ideal as a backup (to disk) server but I am loathed to put the OS on SATA drives. Please respond ASAP as I am trying to produce a BOM for a quote that needs to be complete by COP today. Thanks in Advance Andy |

Hi Andy,
The answer is yes, with the p400 SAS RAID controller in the DL320s yoo can mix SAS and SATA but not in the same logical volume. |
