Right my main q's are
Are the two failing dimms on the same memory book, looking at the front of the server there are 4 memory boards that i can see. They are all fru 53p4252 (16gb memory book) from the location code which book do i need to replace?

I have never had any training on these machines (one of the reasons why my months notice went in on monday ) so any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi Paul,
According to the Service Guide I have for the 670/690 Pseries the location codes point to the memory book in slot 1 (M3)(upper right); and the memory book in slot 3 (M6) (lower left).
P1-C3 refers to the MCM (Processor multichipmodule). Just in case you dont have the info , attached is a P671 memory and location brief. Hope this has been helpful.
