Can anyone help please. Is there any way other than using an RSA to remotely access the system event log on our x series 366 as we dont have an RSA fitted.
As your series x is a 366 it has a BMC on board therefore the SEL can be read using the the SMBridge utility, SvcCons utility or even DSA all of which are downloadable from IBM. Note that SMBridge is just a hex dump of the log and needs either to be sent to IBM or BMC logs can be interpretated via a BMC log parser found on LUZ. DSA output is translated and readable, and of course if you have access via IBM Director the that will also show the translated log. Hope thats been useful.
